President Trump has nominated Mark Calabria as the new director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). With ascent of new leadership, there is also a growing conversation in Washington about shrinking the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the mortgage market, and ending their decade-long stay in conservatorship.
