Elite tech hubs and up and coming technology hotspots offer much to the community and people in which they thrive. However, these major technology regions are high-cost communities where wealth may be heavily concentrated in only certain areas. While tech communities offer an influx of new and sustainable jobs, an educated STEM workforce and the promise of economic ripples, community advocates must ensure that the economic benefits of tech hubs are available for everyone in the community.
